Better together: how teaming up with other creatives can grow your shop and spark serious inspiration

Collaborations can be one of the most rewarding and unexpectedly fun ways to build your vintage business.

Whether it’s a styled shoot with other sellers or a cross-promotional campaign with a local florist, creative partnerships can introduce your shop to new audiences, create rich visual content, and strengthen your presence in the community.

In this session, Courtney Schur of Carmine & Hayworth Vintage shared how she regularly works with other vendors in her area to elevate her shop and brand.

With a background in producing collaborative projects, Courtney offered a behind-the-scenes look at the planning, logistics, and creativity that go into making these partnerships work.

She walked us through several past collaborations — from themed photoshoots to seasonal marketing tie-ins — and explained how each one came together. Courtney emphasized that finding the right partner is all about shared values, mutual goals and open communication.

We also covered the nuts and bolts: how to initiate a collab, what questions to ask up front, how to divide responsibilities, and what to do if things don’t go as planned (because not every collab is a dream match, and that’s okay).

Most importantly, Courtney shared how collaborations have helped her shop grow. These joint efforts have brought in new followers, driven more sales and resulted in a library of visuals she can repurpose over time.

If you’ve ever wanted to work with other creatives but weren’t sure where to start — or felt unsure about the effort involved — this session will give you a realistic, encouraging look at what’s possible when you don’t go it alone.
